Magazines history- 

In this post I am to research the history of magazines, specifically entertainment magazines. I am doing this is to gain an insight into previous entertainment magazines and their online websites. This task will help me to understand the conventions and expectations of entertainment magazines, in order to create my own. 

• When and what was the first magazine ever created?
• When and what was the first entertainment magazine published?
• When and what was the first entertainment magazine to go online?
• When and what was the first entertainment magazine to publish a front page using a model from an ethnic minority?
• Find a list of the 5 most influential entertainment magazines of all time.
• Find an entertainment magazine that has ceased to exist in print form and it’s only available online... when did this transition happen?

This research has helped me to understand the conventions of typical entertainment magazines and their online editions. Most entertainment magazines contain gossip, Celebrity and film + TV. This has helped me to understand what I need to include in my magazine for it to match the popular entertainment magazines.
