In this post I am going to find examples of intertextual references in entertainment magazines, this will help me to understand the importance of intertextuality in magazines, I can then use intertextual references in my own coursework.
In conclusion, this research has provided me with ways to include intertextual references and why it is important for them to be used. Intertextuality is important in order for a wide audience to recognise the references and consume the media. I now understand how important it is to include intertextual references, in my product I will include intertextual references that are easy to recognise so that I can appeal to a wide audience. For example certain fonts from a movie or the band name etc.
